paulienarkTrouble maintaining adhesiveI use this to hold a patch of medicine on my skin. However, they are supposed to stay stuck and prevent water from seeping in, and they do not do that. They should stay put until the patient removes it. Usually I need to remove the tegaderm from the patch it is supposed to be protecting and put a new one on after every shower or an intense workout where perspiration was extreme.

Infections can grow inside a cath and those things can be quite painful. These bandages offer protection against water and rain. I would not take a bath or shower in it. But if you happen to be outside in the rain, it is better than going outside in tape and gauze. Unfortunately, my clinic requires me to bring in my own Tegaderm now. If that is the case with you, this is the right size to get. I get these every so often. Each box comes with 50 and doing dialysis 12 times a month, it can last a good 4 months. It is a solid buy and useful for those times when you need to change your site because someone didn't know what they were doing. In those instances, a box might last you three months.
